Week Five

Reflection Week 5:

This is one of the best of times in Web Skills Course. All activities are interesting and learnable and practical. I learned so many ideas regarding the use of rubrics and the more about using technology for making the project and making my class technology friendly. For the first time to createu rubric, I felt quite difficult and became quite nervous as well but I used and followed the method of trial and error and ultimately and got successed to create rubric very well. I hope I will learn many things in the days ahead. Thanks Webskills.

With Best Regard,
Basu

  1. Dear Basu,

I am very impressed with your short but nice reflection of week five. The adjectives you have used about the activities of the week are quite appropriate. The week's tasks are really interesting and practical. Again, we have learned a lot from different activities of the week.Your being experienced about creating rubrics, about introducing technology in the class room sounds curious. Your experience while creating rubrics is also similar to me.

But one point if you don't mind, you probably should have given some reflections on previous week. That was also Donna's direction indeed.

However, otherwise things are really good.

    Regards,
    Khayrul

  2. Dear Basu

I have been following your blogs for three weeks, but it's today I am going to share my views with you. First of all, I agree with Khayrul that yours is a short and sweet blog. I appreciate your precision and brevity. Since you are one of the most experienced persons in our group, I would like to have your comments on my blog as well. If you don't mind, I'd like you to answer a few questions:

    1. Whose blog do you regularly follow? Why?
    2. How long have you been using technology for teaching?
    3. What can I do to teach my students how to write effective letters?

  3. Hello Basu,

Well, I have to say that everything new that we try in life causes anxiety and a little fear. For instance, the first time we rode a bicycle, the first time we drove a car, the first day of school and some others. However, the only way to know if these situations are good or bad is by trying them. So that using technology can be frightening, too but we need to try it in order to learn how to use it and also take advantange of this fantastic tool.
Talking about rubrics and webquests, I like them a lot. Why? Because rubrics can help me grade my students in a very fair way and they can become more involved and committed if they know in advance what I am expecting from them.
Webquests are also excellent projects to get our students to become web researchers and also learn something new in a fun way.

    Sincerely
    Juan Carlos
